About Edward Buckley
Edward D. Buckley is one of the founding partners of Buckley Bala Wilson Mew LLP. Ed was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, by parents who raised him to make a difference for the better. He is a graduate of the College of Charleston and Emory University School of Law, where he also served as a legal writing instructor.
Ed understands the hardships that working people face and has built his law practice championing their cause, focusing his practice on civil rights and employment discrimination cases. He has represented people from virtually every walk of life, including hotel laundry workers, truckers, secretaries, food industry workers, technicians, salespeople, teachers, professors, stockbrokers, CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, longshoremen, doctors and lawyers. About Anita Bala
Anita Bala has extensive experience representing clients in a variety of employment, civil rights, and disability discrimination disputes. Her experience includes claims involving race, sex, age, national origin, religion, and disability-related discrimination involving employees and students. She has also handled cases involving sexual assault of students in schools under federal Title IX, as well as civil cases involving police misconduct. Many of her cases have been covered by the media or have otherwise been high-profile.
About Ashley Wilson Clark
Ashley Wilson Clark is a capable and seasoned litigator with trial and appellate experience in both state and federal court. Ashley’s practice at Buckley Bala Wilson Mew LLP is focused on employment and civil rights litigation. She represents clients in claims for workplace discrimination and retaliation, sexual harassment, denial of FMLA leave and disability accommodations, and whistleblower retaliation (including reporting violations of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934).
About Thomas J. Mew IV
Thomas “Tom” J. Mew IV’s practice covers a broad range of employment law matters including both individual and class action wage-and-hour, discrimination, and harassment litigation, as well as in arbitration and mediation. He is also an advisor on employment contracts, releases, and restrictive covenant issues. He has represented clients at all levels in state and federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court (Bostock v. Clayton County, GA, 140 S. Ct. 1731, 590 U.S. ___ (2020)). In October 2020, Tom was honored to receive the Stonewall Bar Association’s Conspicuous Service to the Stonewall Community Award for his role in the Bostock case.
Tom is the co-author of “Georgia Motion Practice,” a guide to civil motion practice in Georgia’s trial and appellate courts and co-author of “Georgia Employment Law.” He is also a Contributing Author to Employee Benefits Law (3d. Ed.) (Bloomberg BNA 2012).
About Kyle Brooks
Kyle Brooks has extensive experience representing clients in a variety of employment, business, and civil rights disputes. His experience includes claims involving race, sex, age, national origin, religion, and disability-related employment discrimination and retaliation. He is also an advisor on employment contracts, releases, restrictive covenant issues, and commercial business disputes. In addition to employment and business matters, he has successfully litigated many cases involving claims of misconduct by police and corrections officials and alleged First Amendment violations by government personnel. Many of his cases have been covered by the media or have otherwise been high-profile.
